MENTOR, INC - TRAUMA INFORMED MENTORING
This 4-part series commissioned by Mentor, Inc was another series of trainings that this client wanted to convert to online, self-paced courses that their learners could access in a more accessible way. The project combined interactive, reflection, facts, figures and history to create a course that encompassed all the elements of what was important for the company.
The project had an outline already available, providing us with much of the content used in the training but still needed much work to convert this training into a 4-part self-paced training option. The subject matter expert provided guidance on what they wanted to see through the initial interviews and analysis of the project. They wanted the core content to be there but in a way that would keep the attention of their learners and give them more freedom to complete the necessary training on their own.
A project outline was created and kept with the client's branding to offer this new way of looking at the content for the e-learnings. I created a script for each slide and sent it to the SME for approval. Once approved, audio recordings were created using computer generated voice actors. After putting all these elements together it was sent to the SME for review and with a few final touch ups the project SCORM files were loaded into the LMS along with evaluations developed with the assistance of the SME.
I really enjoyed working on this project because there were so many different design decisions and interactive elements we were able to incorporate. I especially liked where we were able to embed a self-assessment on skills where a score was automatically calculated and provided to the learner. All the different elements helped to create a really enriching program that received positive reviews and feedback from the client.
