Throughout 2021 and 2022 Mentor Inc set a goal to convert several of their trainings into online formats that could be accessed by their learners through their Learning Management System (LMS), Talent. This project, commissioned by Mentor to provide an introduction to a concept they called "Mentoring Mindset".

The project had an existing shell making it easy to access the content, however the content itself needed a refresh and an easier way to grasp those concepts now that it would be in a self-paced format. I worked with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to determine what was important and how, the traditionally in-person delivered training, could be made easier to understand for their learners. The meat of the content was there, we just had to showcase it in a new way.

We used much of the existing content to create a new course that included more interactive elements to keep the learners engaged and interested in the extremely important content that was being taught. The SME provided audio recordings for each slide that were edited to remove errors, reduce added noise and extra breaths and convert them to the required format to be imported into Articulate Storyline. Captions were also produced to make the course more accessible. Once completed, s SCORM file was produced and published to the client's LMS.

 

​The goal of this project was to enhance the existing training that the client had and I believe we added some really fun and visually impactful elements to achieve this goal. The product owner and SME was very satsified with the final deliverable and would be working with individual stakeholders in their satellite offices to evaluate learners and use the results to guide future e-learnings.
