MENTOR, INC - JPMORGAN CHASE

One of the largest single projects that I worked with Mentor, Inc on, was their e-learnings to conincide with their partnership with JPMorgan Chase. This training served as a bridge between Mentor's vision and goals and JPMorgan's effort to create a mentor focused program within their company.

The project had a PowerPoint deck already created, providing us with much of the content used in the training but still needed much work to convert this training into a 2-part self-paced training option. Working with the Subject Matter Expert (SME), we determined the scope, what content needed to be added, removed and enhanced. We added some real-world examples where participants could advance through a scenario and reflect on a situation as if they were a mentor already in the process of working with a mentee. We also included matching and drag-and-drop evaluations to test their knowledge throughout the training. At the conclusion of the 2nd part, we created a "this or that" type quiz where participants could test their own skills in a fun and attention-grabbing way.

Once the SME provided me with the initial content, I created an outline showing the project and updates to the script that was included by the client. The SME then provided audio recordings for each slide that were edited to remove errors, reduce added noise and extra breaths and convert them to the required format to be imported into Articulate Storyline. Captions were also produced to make the course more accessible. Multiple edits were made as the client had to also have the content approved through their client, JPMorgan Chase. Once completed, a SCORM file was produced and published to the client's LMS.

At times this project was challenging because I was not only working with my client, Mentor, but also had to receive instruction for a 3rd party through the Subject Matter Expert. This was one of the most extensive projects I worked on with Mentor, but it is also one of my favorites because I felt like we got to showcase some of the really cool things we could do with Storyline. There was a lot of interactivity and evaluation that took place allowing for Mentor to really gauge how this product was performing as they administered it to learners and their own client.
